Details

One Investor Number is issued to each investor in order to provide him/her the eligibility to trade on DFM and Nasdaq Dubai securities. 


Fees

Procedures

You can apply for an Investor Number through one of the following options:

  1. DFM App
    • Sign up or Log to DFM App  
    • Scan your identification documents
    • Take a selfie
    • Enter the required details
    • Select method of receiving your cash dividends
    • The investor will receive the Investor Number through SMS
  2. DFM eServices

    Register to DFM eServices at DFM Website

    • Login with the username and password
    • Select the eFORMS tab
    • Fill Investor Number Request Form
    • Authenticate your signature on the form, attach the required documents and submit the form
    • The investor will receive the Investor Number through SMS
  3. Alternatively , you can submit your request to Investor Affairs at the Dubai CSD
  4.  

    In person or in case of Guardian or Representative:

    • Submit the required documents to Investor Affairs
    • Investor / Guardian or Representative will sign digitally on the Investor Number Request Form
    • An Investor Number will be issued instantly and provided to the investor
    • The investor will receive the Investor Number through SMS

    In case of non-present of the Investor and sending the request with an Family Member:

    • Complete the Investor Number Request Form and have it duly signed and authenticated by one of the following :
      • Dubai CSD staff at Investor Affairs
      • Licensed Trading Member at Dubai Financial Market
      • An accredited Bank in UAE licensed by UAE Central Bank
      • Notary Public and UAE embassy in foreign countries or by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs
      • Submit the form along with the required documents to the Investor Affairs
      • The investor will receive the Investor Number through SMS
  5. Licensed Trading Member at Dubai Financial Market
    • Submit required documents through Trading Member

Required Documents
  • Completed Investor Number Request Form duly signed by the investor

  • UAE Nationals and Residents: Valid copy of Emirates National ID 

  • Non Residents: Valid copy of the passport

  • Plus specific documentations depending on:
  • If a Minor (below 18 years):

    • The signature of the Guardian (the Father)
    • Valid copy of the guardian’s Emirates National ID (for UAE Nationals and Residents) or valid copy of the passport (Residents and non Residents)
    • In case of a guardian other than the father: true copy of duly authenticated guardianship order issued by the court or Notary public
    • Guardianship orders issued outside UAE must be certified by the UAE Embassy in those countries or the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs

    If a Marsoom Holder:

    • Valid copy of the Marsoom issued from Federal Authority for Identify and Citizenship addressed to Dubai CSD or To Whom It May Concern

    If a Representative:

    • Valid copy of a duly authenticated Power of Attorney issued from the court or Notary Public
    • Valid copy of the representative’s  Emirates National ID (for UAE Nationals and Residents)
    • A Power of Attorney issued from other countries must be authenticated by the official authorities and the UAE embassy in those countries or by UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs

    If the selected payment method is “Bank Transfer”

    • Copy of the bank statement or certified bank letter, mentioning clearly the bank account details. The bank account should be in the name of the Investor

  • DFM eServices: available through DFM App or through DFM website www.dfm.ae 
  • Licensed Trading Member at Dubai Financial Market
  • Investor Affairs at Dubai CSD, DFM Trading Hall, Dubai Financial Market, Ground floor, Dubai World Trade Center from 08:00 am to 04:00 pm Monday to Friday
